On the Leading Quality Trails of the Swabian Alb

Sunrise & Sunset With a View

Picture this: a serene late summer morning, far from civilization. Just before sunrise, you hike to a viewpoint above the misty Danube. This is just one of many picturesque stops on the certified long-distance trails of the Swabian Alb: the Donauberglandweg Trail and the Albtraufgänger Trail. Both are designated European Leading Quality Trails. On the Albtraufgänger Trail we enjoy an unforgettable sunset at the shepherd's wagon.
A young man and a young woman stand on a mountainside and look down into the valley. On the opposite side, the sun is rising behind a mountain. There is fog in the valley.

Witching Hour and Spooky Stories

Quiet and calm, you descend into the grotto where grand celebrations once took place. The chandeliers in the ancestral gallery remain unlit. You only hear the creak of your footsteps on the parquet and the eerie tales from your guide. At night, new doors open, like those at Ludwigsburg Residential Palace.
A group goes on a night tour of the castle. You see a light in a corridor, shadows on the walls and a lantern in your hand.
