Lights out and off you go - let the journey of discovery through the darkness begin in Pforzheim Forest Climbing Garden. Kitted out with professional climbing equipment and a head torch, you’ll venture into the unique night atmosphere of the nature park – where usually familiar terrain can reveal unexpected challenges in the altered light, for example the 8-meter-high climbing wall that leads to a 90-metre zip line into the darkness. But don’t worry, experienced high-rope professionals supervise all climbs to ensure total safety despite the lack of light.

When the sky glows pink and the ripples fade, the river Rems slowly becomes calm. As it lies still under the last light of day immerse yourself in its peaceful atmosphere on a SUP Board Tour with outdoor provider ‘Die Zugvögel’. Thanks to the gentle current, no previous experience is required and afterwards the beer gardens at Schwaneninsel in Waiblingen are the perfect place to enjoy a rewarding sundowner.

Sunrise Hike on the Feldberg
A unique experience awaits hikers and sun worshippers when they climb the Feldberg peak in the early hours of the morning. Setting off while the valleys sleep, witness nature awakening at dusk. As you reach the summit, the natural spectacle begins with the first rays of sunshine, then the sun slowly rises above the horizon freeing the Upper Black Forest from the night. As day breaks, breakfast in a rustic hut awaits.

King of the Night
Head Torch Tour to Lemberg
At 1,015 meters high, the Lemberg peak is considered the ‘King of the Swabian Alb’ and the panoramic mountains’ crown is a 33 metre high observation tower at the top. Join guide Jonas Fuß on a night-time head torch tour to climb the highest mountain in the Swabian Alb: passing the ‘Nikolauskapelle’ chapel and the remains of the Oberhohenberg castle and its suspension bridge over the former moat, walking along the Albtrauf until you reach the summit where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the forest, the breathtaking view, and a light refreshment.

‘Stäffele’ Tours by Night in Stuttgart
Stuttgart is characterised by its remarkable topography: the city itself lies in a natural basin surrounded by hills, forests, orchards, and vineyards. In order to cultivate these areas numerous steps were built on the slopes. Over 400 of these ‘Stäffele’ criss-cross each other, from the town centre right up to higher altitudes. Some are narrow and impassable, while others have been enlarged over the years - in some cases even artistically designed. The city's landmarks generate a special magical mood at nightfall and as you ascend the steps of the ‘Stäffelestour’ other features of the urban landscape suddenly come into focus as the city lies glittering at your feet.

Full Moon Walk Along the Treetop Path in Bad Wildbad
Taking your eye level to the canopy of the forest, the 1,250-metre treetop path in Bad Wildbad winds its way through nature along a wooden walkway leading to the 40-metre-high observation tower, which spirals up into the sky and is also the destination for the ‘Full Moon Walk’. This magical walk sets off just as day is transitioning into night and reaches the observation tower in time to experience the panorama as the moon rises and the stars become more visible. En route you will learn about the influence of the celestial body on nature and mankind, about (super)faith and scientific findings.
