Farm Concerts in the Dreisam Valley

The gnarled cherry and apple trees are decorated with colorful lanterns. Deckchairs and bales of straw are now placed where the farm animals usually graze. At the Fußthomashof Farm in the Dreisam Valley, final preparations are underway for a concert of the 'Landleben LIVE' series. The band 'Rhinwaldsounds' from the Ortenau region will perform at the small farm near Freiburg. They will delight the audience with their self-written songs in Alemannic dialect. There will also be drinks and ice cream from the region, various dishes and a look behind the scenes of the farm.

The concert series has been organized by the Dreisamtal Tourism Association in cooperation with the local farms since 2021. Artists from all over Europe are invited to perform in this special setting. A great and intended side effect: the guests also get to know the farms in the Dreisam Valley. "There are so many farms in the Dreisam Valley with great products, which can be experienced in this way," says Julian Semet, managing director of the tourism association, proudly. In 2025, four summer concerts will take place again.

Beautiful Dreisam Valley

It's worth combining your concert visit to the Dreisam Valley with a short break. The densely wooded region begins just a few minutes by car from Freiburg im Breisgau. In addition to the towns of Kirchzarten, Oberried, Buchenbach and Stegen, there is much more beautiful nature to discover. Get a Taste of the Black Forest Atmosphere

Yoga Retreat at the Höfenhof Farm in Schiltach

Every Monday evening, you can relax for 75 minutes at Höfenhof Farm near Schiltach. Yogi Hannah takes her guests out into nature to practice yoga and relaxation exercises. The venue or starting point is the Höfenhof Farm, which is located on an unwooded mountain saddle between Schiltach and Kinzig. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the yoga class is held in a cozy, warm room in the courtyard. During the colder months, you can even join via Zoom. Classes are suitable for all levels and can be booked individually.

Crime Thriller Evenings at the Henslerhof Farm in Hinterzarten

The Black Forest farm, which dates back to 1552, regularly hosts spooky events. Performances such as "Deadly Tarot" or "Murderous Fairy Tale Forest" are staged here. The historic Henslerhof Farm in Hinterzarten is located on the shores of Lake Titisee and covers over 12 hectares. In addition to spooky evenings, the venue regularly hosts brunches, concerts - with or without a picnic - and culinary events, such as the Spanish Evening with Flamenco, tapas and Spanish wine.

When the Vogtsbauernhof Farm Becomes a Christmas Village

Christmas is celebrated at the Vogtsbauernhof Farm for three days in December. In the open-air museum, you can discover the products of some 40 exhibitors from the region and enjoy hearty Christmas specialties and hot drinks. There is also a colorful program of workshops, craft demonstrations and music, and rumor has it that St. Nicholas will make an appearance. Admission is free for children and teens 17 and under. And don't worry if you already have plans for this weekend; the Vogtsbauernhof Farm regularly offers exciting workshops and events.
