1. Subject Matter of the Terms and Conditions of Participation and Organizer
(1) These Terms and Conditions of Participation govern the conditions for participation in the Small Town Gems loyalty card sweepstakes, as well as any necessary transfers of rights.
(2) The organizer of the sweepstakes is the State Tourist Board of Baden-Württemberg (TMBW), Marktstraße 2, 70173 Stuttgart.
(3) By participating in the respective sweepstakes, participants accept these terms and conditions.2. Participation
(1) Anyone who is at least 18 years of age and resides in Germany is eligible to participate in the contest. Employees of Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg and its affiliated companies, as well as family members of such employees and their relatives, are excluded from participation. Participation using false identities or the identities of third parties is not permitted.
(2) Eligible participants may enter the contest in two ways. Either by mailing their stamp card with at least 10 different “Small-Town Gems” stamps to Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg, Marktstraße 2, 70173 Stuttgart. Or by collecting at least 10 different “Kleinstadtperlen” digital stamps via the Zeigmal app and sending them via the app to staedte@tourismus-bw.de. It is also possible to submit some of the stamps by mail and others via the app or email. In any case, the total number of collected stamps must be 10.
In general, the following contact information must be included when submitting the stamps: first and last name, full address, and email address.
(3) Participation is open from January 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. until December 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.(4) Each participant may enter the contest only once. Multiple entries are not permitted. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants from the contest in the event of multiple entries.3. Prize and Prize Notification
(1) A short trip to one of the 20 small town gems — consisting of 2 nights’ accommodation for 2 adults in a double room, including breakfast, as well as activities selected by the small town gem — will be raffled off among all eligible participants.
(2) The winner will be selected at random from among all eligible participants after the entry deadline, sometime in January 2027. The winner will be notified by email.
(3) The winner must accept the prize via email within 14 days. In doing so, the winner must specify which of the 20 small town gem is selected for the prize trip. If the prize is not accepted within the specified time frame, the claim to the prize expires. In this case, we are entitled to conduct a replacement drawing.
(4) All costs associated with the travel prize that are not expressly included in the prize — such as meals or other travel expenses — must be borne by the winner. The winner is personally responsible for all necessary travel formalities for all travelers.(5) The travel prize will be arranged exclusively through direct contact between the winner and TMBW and/or a contact person from the selected small town gem. The travel dates will be determined in consultation with TMBW or contact persons from the selected small town gem upon request and subject to availability. There is no entitlement to a specific travel date.
If the winners are unable to take the trip for reasons beyond TMBW’s control, the claim to the prize is forfeited. There is no entitlement to compensation.(6) Should circumstances arise that are beyond our control, the winner accepts the respective reasonable substitute prize.
(7) The prize is neither transferable nor can it be exchanged or redeemed for cash.4. Grant of Rights of Use
By accepting the prize, the winners agree that we may use their names for promotional purposes.
5. Liability
TMBW is not liable for any transmission errors.
6. Disqualification
A violation of these Terms and Conditions entitles us to disqualify participants from the contest. This applies in particular if participants provide false information.
7. Early Termination and Changes
We reserve the right to terminate the contest early, in whole or in part, at any time—even without notice—or to modify its course if, for technical (e.g., computer virus, manipulation of or errors in software/hardware) or legal reasons, it is not possible to guarantee the proper conduct of the contest.8. Data Protection
(1) We are responsible for the collection, processing, and use of participants’ personal data. We will use the information provided by participants, as well as any other personal data, only in accordance with the provisions of data protection law. We will store, process, and use the information only to the extent necessary for the conduct of the sweepstakes. The travelers’ data will be used by TMBW and the respective partner organizations (e.g., hotels, municipal administrations of “small town gems) exclusively for mailing purposes, to establish contact, and to redeem the prize. The data of these individuals will continue to be stored to the extent required by law. However, it will then be blocked from further use.
(2) Participants may at any time request information about the data stored regarding them or object to the use of their data at any time in writing or by email to TMBW at Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg, Marktstraße 2, 70173 Stuttgart, or via info@tourismus-bw.de. Objecting to the use of data will result in the participant no longer being able to enter sweepstakes. In all other respects, our Privacy Policy, available at www.visit-bw.com/en/privacy-policy applies accordingly.9. Final Provisions
(1) Should any provision of these terms and conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
(2) German law applies. Legal recourse to challenge the drawing is excluded.
